{"id":7934,"date":"2025-04-23T13:08:19","date_gmt":"2025-04-23T10:08:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=7934"},"modified":"2025-04-23T13:08:19","modified_gmt":"2025-04-23T10:08:19","slug":"a-university-of-baghdad-academic-participates-in-an-international-conference-and-receives-the-golden-innovation-medal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=7934","title":{"rendered":"A University of Baghdad Academic Participates in an International Conference and Receives the Golden Innovation Medal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Professor <strong>Dr. Abdullah Dhaya<\/strong>, a faculty member at the College of Engineering \u2013 Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Baghdad, participated in the <strong>Conference and Exhibition of Inventions, Innovations, and Creativity (Nobel Innovations Prize)<\/strong>, held under the patronage of the <strong>Newel Technical Institute<\/strong> in cooperation with the <strong>College of Health Sciences at the University of Erbil<\/strong>, and organized by the <strong>Light Harvest Organization for Educational Development<\/strong>, during the period <strong>April 16\u201318, 2025<\/strong>, in <strong>Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Abdullah presented a patent entitled:<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Device of Converting Rain Water into Electricity&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The study involved the development of an industrial prototype \u2014 a device designed to convert rainwater into electrical energy, made of plastic, and consisting of the following components:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Turbine box<\/li>\n<li>Impeller (fan)<\/li>\n<li>Electric generator<\/li>\n<li>Water inlet<\/li>\n<li>Water outlet<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The device has a height of <strong>15 cm<\/strong> and a width of <strong>7 cm<\/strong>. The transparent box contains a cross-bladed impeller connected through a central opening to a small generator, which produces electric current.
