[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Department of Architecture at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific field visit on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, for postgraduate students (Ph.D. and Master\u2019s levels), accompanied by several faculty members from both programs. The visit aimed to explore the museum’s contents and gain insight into Iraq’s archaeological heritage, which spans successive civilizations that preceded others globally in terms of chronology, contributions, output, and the nature of urban, social, and legal life.<\/p>\n

The exhibits, narratives, presentation methods, and the diversity of the museum\u2019s halls served as a source of inspiration for students, stimulating architectural, civilizational, and cultural thinking relevant to their academic projects. The visit included a comprehensive tour through various spaces and exhibition halls within the museum.<\/p>\n

The objective of this field visit was to reinforce an integrated understanding of architectural and artistic expressions embedded in archaeological artifacts and their symbolic meanings. Accompanying faculty members provided explanations and interpretations of certain exhibits, emphasizing how the spirit of continuity among Iraq\u2019s civilizations remains tangible and vividly present.<\/p>\n
