On Thursday, February 27, 2025<\/strong>, the University of Technology held the PhD dissertation defense of researcher Ahmed Hamid Kazem<\/strong>, titled “Systems Management in Architecture.”<\/strong> The defense panel included distinguished professors from various universities, among them Prof. Dr. Saad Fawzi Tu\u2019ma, Head of the Architecture Department at the University of Baghdad<\/strong>, who participated as a committee member.<\/p>\n

The dissertation explored the concept of systems management in architecture<\/strong> by analyzing the relationship between implicit and explicit systems in design and administrative processes<\/strong>. The study emphasized the importance of integrated management of architectural systems<\/strong> and how administrative thinking can enhance design quality through the development of an effective managerial approach<\/strong> that improves the efficiency of design processes. It also examined the reciprocal influence<\/strong> of cultural, social, and administrative values in architecture on both explicit and implicit levels.<\/p>\n

The study proposed a comprehensive model for systems management in architecture<\/strong>, structured around three main levels:<\/p>\n

  1. Conceptual Model<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Organizational Model<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Practical Model<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The research concluded with a flexible management framework<\/strong> that allows architects to balance creative aspects<\/strong> with the functional requirements<\/strong> of projects, ultimately improving architectural output and enhancing design efficiency<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
