As part of the scientific activities of the Department of Water Resources Engineering, the department organized a lecture titled “Developing the Department’s Self-Assessment Report.” The lecture was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Rashid Thaher.<\/p>\n
This lecture is significant due to the importance of the self-assessment report, which forms the cornerstone of the quality assurance system in the Department of Water Resources Engineering. The report aims to provide a clear and comprehensive overview of the department’s adherence to the academic program and national accreditation standards. This assessment is an integral part of the continuous commitment to improving the quality of education and enhancing its outcomes to meet the evolving needs of students and the job market.<\/p>\n
The lecturer addressed several key topics, including developing a study plan, gathering the necessary information and data using analytical methods, and guiding the committee in preparing the improvement plan and the final self-assessment report for the department and its review.<\/p>\n
The lecture took place on Sunday, January 5, 2025, in the Dijla Hall of the Department of Water Resources Engineering, with the attendance of the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Basim Shabaa Abed, and the Quality and Academic Accreditation Committee of the Department.<\/p>\n
