The Civil Engineering Department organized a scientific field visit to the Al-Wahda Water Project under the patronage of the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Amjad Al-Bayati, and supervised by Professor Dr. Basim Hussein Khudair, with the participation of several faculty members and instructors.<\/p>\n

The visit aimed to reinforce fundamental concepts among students and build a strong connection between theoretical academic knowledge and practical applications. It also focused on the engineering aspects of the project and encouraged students to propose graduation projects and research ideas aimed at improving and developing the facility.<\/p>\n

During the visit, the students met with the director of the Al-Wahda Water Project and were briefed on the stages and processes of water purification and treatment from the Tigris River. They also learned about the project’s capacity and its role in supplying essential areas of the capital with clean water. The students’ curiosity, teamwork, and enthusiasm for discovery were among the most notable aspects of the visit.<\/p>\n

This initiative aligns with the Civil Engineering Department\u2019s efforts to enhance students’ skills, enrich their practical knowledge, and expose them to real-world work environments. These experiences aim to motivate students to exert their maximum potential during their studies while fostering a spirit of camaraderie among students and faculty members.<\/p>\n
