[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Department of Energy Engineering at the College of Engineering held a scientific seminar on Thursday, December 19, 2024, in the Postgraduate Studies Hall, entitled:
\n“Experimental Investigation of Effect Slotted Leading Edge Circulation Control Aerofoil Aerodynamic and Acoustics”<\/strong><\/p>\n

The seminar was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Yasser Abdul Wahab, in the presence of the head of the department\u00a0 Assistant Professor Dr. Zina Ali Abdul Redha, several faculty members, and engineers.
\nThe study addressed active separation flow control for a 3D straight wing of type NACA 633618-il using an inclined synthetic jet. The results showed that this system could increase the lift coefficient by 12.4% and delay the stall angle by 6 degrees, enhancing the wing’s aerodynamic performance.<\/p>\n

The study also reviewed results obtained using Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), which demonstrated significant improvements in flow stability, reduction in flow separation effects, and enhanced resistance to adverse pressure gradients.<\/p>\n

At the end of the seminar, a scientific discussion was held among the attendees, focusing on the importance of this research in advancing aerodynamics and its practical applications.
