[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, witnessed the public discussion of the master’s student (Mina Mahdi (Aliwi) from the Department of Civil Engineering about her thesis entitled (Contributing factors related to the tensile strength of hot asphalt concrete) on Monday, corresponding to Rabi` al-Awwal 16, 2024, in Dr. Munther Al-Daroubi Hall, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Amjad Khalil Al-Bayati.<\/p>\n

This thesis aims to evaluate the variables involved in the indirect tensile test (IDT) and semicircular bending test (SCB) procedures. The aim is to develop reliable and reproducible test protocols for evaluating the fatigue cracking resistance of conventional asphalt concrete mixtures. The study focuses on:<\/p>\n

Analysis of how test parameters (IDT) and (SCB) affect the fracture behavior of asphalt concrete at low temperatures.<\/p>\n

Investigation of the effect of different bitumen contents on asphalt fracture under various test conditions.<\/p>\n
