The Department of Architecture organized a scientific field visit to the Iraqi National Museum on Monday, November 18, 2024, under the supervision and guidance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Rand Hazim, Asst. Prof. Dr. Elham Ali, Dr. Nasreen Razzaq, Dr. Ahmed Natiq, Asst. Lect. Shaq Jaafar, and Dr. Einas Hassan Al-Bakri, with the participation of fourth-year students. The visit aimed to explore museums with a focus on the scientific and architectural aspects, allowing students to benefit from the design of interior spaces that align with the effective display of artifacts and create an interactive experience for visitors. The activities included a detailed study of lighting techniques used to highlight details, space distribution methods to ensure smooth visitor flow within the exhibition, and the influence of elements such as colors, materials, and textures on the atmosphere of the space, enriching the sensory experience of visitors. This visit is part of the requirements for the Interior Space Design course for fourth-year students, aimed at enhancing practical knowledge and broadening the students’ horizons in architecture and design. Students gained first-hand insights into how interior design elements can enhance the visitor experience while balancing functional and aesthetic considerations.<\/div>\n
