In the presence of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, the Master’s thesis of student Jwan Jabbar Juma titled “Activating Blue-Green Infrastructure within Urban Riverbanks,” was successfully defended on September 19, 2024, in the Department of Architecture at the University of Baghdad.<\/p>\n

The thesis addresses the integration of blue-green infrastructure in urban environments, specifically focusing on areas adjacent to rivers. Jwan\u2019s research highlights how this sustainable approach can mitigate environmental challenges like urban heat islands, climate change, and water management, while also offering social and economic benefits.<\/p>\n

The examination committee included:
