On Monday, November 13, 2023, the public defense of Hassan Ihsan Naima’s Master’s thesis in Civil Engineering, titled “The Behavior of RC T-beams Strengthened by EB-CFRP Composites under Bending and Shear effects,” took place in Dr. Khaled Shaker Hall.<\/p>\n

The esteemed committee members were:
\n1. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Jabbar Hussein (University of Baghdad) – Chairman
\n2. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Raafat Mahmoud Abbas (University of Baghdad) – Member
\n3. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hisham Abdul Latif Naiman (Mustansiriyah University) – Member
\n4. Prof. Dr. Alaa Hussein Alwan (University of Baghdad) – Supervisor<\/p>\n

The study aimed to investigate the behavior of reinforced concrete T-beams strengthened with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) composites in bending. The thesis also explored the performance of these enhanced beams against shear forces using CFRP sheets at various intervals.<\/p>\n

The recommendations included further studies on the behavior of reinforced concrete T-beams under repetitive loads, pre-stressed T-beams, and the response of strengthened T-beams using CFRP material under impact loads.<\/p>\n
