“An Investigation of Thermal-Structural Coupling Problem of Dry Friction Clutches and Environmental Impact “.<\/p>\n

This study addresses thermal and thermo elastic issues in dry friction clutches using numerical, analytical, and experimental solutions.<\/p>\n

The Dissertation included recommendations including:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The results showed that the thermo elastic behavior of friction clutches is influenced by the material’s thermal properties, with HCC and G95 materials superior for clutch operation compared with LUK and TIGER due to better heat behavior.<\/li>\n
  2. Material variation parameter ‘k’ affects heat flow values, while friction lining layers have minimal impact.<\/li>\n
  3. Clutch disc surface temperatures increase under uniform pressure more than uniform wear with maximum readings at the halfway point, then decreasing.<\/li>\n
  4. Sliding phase temperatures increase with an increase in disc radius.<\/li>\n
  5. Frictional heat flow affects pressure plates and flywheel temperature distribution. Al-Sic produces the lowest temperatures by 10% and 14% compared to HV-03 and HDS57.<\/li>\n
  6. Particle emissions from TIGER-type pads were higher than from G95 and HCC pads, indicating disc wear. Regardless of the material structure.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    After the scientific discussion by the members of the discussion committee, the researcher received a rating of (excellence).<\/p>\n
