The citation indicators of of journal researches adopted by Scopus and Clarivate are one of the factors used to measure the extent of individual scientific activity of researchers and collective scientific activity for universities and other scientific institutions. In order to encourage researchers to increase their citations in these two global databases, which reflects positively on the university’s position, the respected President of the University of Baghdad granted a letter of thanks and appreciation to the Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Editor-in-Chief of the Iraqi Journal of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Faeiq Al-Alawy, and its Managing Editor, Asist.Prof. Dr. Hayder Abdulkareem Rashid, with a group of university professors in appreciation and gratitude for their efforts in raising the percentage of citations for the journals of the University of Baghdad, which increases Its scientific ability to compete with international universities.<\/p>\n
