It aimed to highlight the latest applications of artificial intelligence and explore its role in advancing scientific research and improving the efficiency of engineering and industrial processes.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture addressed the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and artificial neural networks, explaining how these technologies can be employed to analyze experimental and operational data, develop predictive models, optimize operating conditions, and support engineering decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>The speakers also presented practical applications in several fields, including chemical reaction engineering, separation processes, industrial water treatment, the petroleum industry, and the development of materials and catalysts. Furthermore, they provided illustrative examples of using intelligent models to predict performance and evaluate operational alternatives according to efficiency, cost, and safety criteria.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture also highlighted key challenges associated with adopting artificial intelligence, particularly data quality, model reliability, and the importance of validating results.
