The College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, Department of Architecture, held the public discussion of the Master\u2019s thesis submitted by researcher Ahmed Salam Saleh<\/strong>, entitled:<\/p>\n

\u201cSustainable Affordable Green Housing Strategies: An Applied Study of Horizontal Residential Complexes in the City of Ramadi.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The discussion was held on Sunday, August 30, 2026<\/strong>, under the supervision of Lect. Dr. Ahmed Nateq Al-Shammaa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Thesis Objectives<\/h3>\n

The thesis aimed to develop an integrated evaluation framework for sustainable affordable green housing strategies that links sustainability dimensions with thermal comfort indicators in order to improve housing quality.<\/p>\n

The study also examined the impact of the planning and design characteristics of horizontal residential complexes on their environmental performance. Environmental simulation programs were employed to analyze climatic and thermal performance, with the aim of achieving residential environments that are more comfortable, sustainable, and compatible with local climatic conditions.<\/p>\n
