{"id":11657,"date":"2026-06-17T10:53:46","date_gmt":"2026-06-17T07:53:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=11657"},"modified":"2026-06-17T10:53:46","modified_gmt":"2026-06-17T07:53:46","slug":"scientific-workshop-at-the-college-of-engineering-university-of-baghdad-on-the-mathematical-foundations-of-artificial-intelligence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=11657","title":{"rendered":"Scientific Workshop at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad on the Mathematical Foundations of Artificial Intelligence"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>As part of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad&#8217;s commitment to keeping pace with technological advancements and enhancing scientific knowledge in modern technologies, the Department of Electrical Engineering, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a specialized workshop entitled <strong>&#8220;The Mathematics Behind Artificial Intelligence.&#8221;<\/strong> The workshop was presented by <strong>Assistant Lecturer Manar Naji<\/strong> on Sunday, May 24, 2026, and was attended by a number of faculty members and staff.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop aimed to highlight the fundamental role of mathematics in the development of artificial intelligence systems and to demonstrate its importance in building the models and algorithms that intelligent systems rely on for data processing and decision-making. This contributes to supporting scientific research and enhancing the capabilities of academic personnel.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop\u2019s scientific program included an overview of several core concepts underlying artificial intelligence, along with explanations of how mathematical tools are employed to analyze complex data.
