{"id":11453,"date":"2026-05-20T10:06:32","date_gmt":"2026-05-20T07:06:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=11453"},"modified":"2026-05-20T10:06:32","modified_gmt":"2026-05-20T07:06:32","slug":"the-department-of-chemical-engineering-organizes-a-scientific-workshop-on-separation-process-simulation-using-chemsep-software","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=11453","title":{"rendered":"The Department of Chemical Engineering Organizes a Scientific Workshop on Separation Process Simulation Using ChemSep Software"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering at University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, Professor Dr. Rasha Habib Salman, the Department of Chemical Engineering, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the college, organized a scientific workshop entitled \u201cSimulation of Separation Processes Using ChemSep Software\u201d on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Dr. Mahmoud Omar Hall in the department.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop sessions were presented by Lecturer Dr. Basim Hafiz Fadhil and Assistant Professor Dr. Nada Naoum Abdul Razzaq. The workshop introduced the fundamentals of the ChemSep software and the mechanisms of its use in simulating various separation processes. It also provided participants with practical training on conducting simulations and analyzing results accurately and efficiently.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop further addressed the practical importance of the software in both education and scientific research, as it is considered one of the advanced software tools distinguished by its flexible user interface and extensive material databases. This contributes to supporting students and researchers in modeling and analyzing engineering processes scientifically and accurately, while enhancing integration between theoretical and practical aspects within the specialization.<\/p>\n<p>At the conclusion of the workshop, the lecturers recommended expanding the integration of such software into academic curricula and virtual laboratories, as well as organizing advanced training workshops regularly to improve technical proficiency in the use of simulation tools.
