The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Continuing Education and Rehabilitation and Employment Units, organized a scientific workshop titled \u201cA Comprehensive Lecture on the Bologna System.\u201d<\/em> The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Riam Rahim Jabbar on Monday, April 27, 2026, with the attendance of first-year students.<\/p>\n

The workshop introduced the concept of the Bologna System and the mechanisms for its implementation in higher education institutions. It highlighted its key advantages in developing the academic pathway, particularly through the adoption of the credit system and enhancing the flexibility of the educational process, which contributes to improving the quality of educational outcomes and aligning them with international standards.<\/p>\n

The session emphasized the importance of expanding awareness activities related to the Bologna System to include all academic levels. It also recommended preparing simplified guidance materials to help students better understand the system\u2019s requirements and implementation mechanisms, in addition to strengthening the role of academic advising in supporting students within this framework.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the workshop stressed the need to benefit from leading international experiences in developing implementation strategies for the system, ensuring their adaptation to the local educational environment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
