{"id":10805,"date":"2026-04-06T09:57:49","date_gmt":"2026-04-06T06:57:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=10805"},"modified":"2026-04-06T09:57:49","modified_gmt":"2026-04-06T06:57:49","slug":"department-of-chemical-engineering-university-of-baghdad-organizes-workshop-on-the-credibility-of-scientific-journals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=10805","title":{"rendered":"Department of Chemical Engineering \u2013 University of Baghdad Organizes Workshop on the Credibility of Scientific Journals"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul-Majeed, and the supervision of the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Rasha Habib Salman, the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Baghdad organized a specialized workshop entitled <strong>\u201cVerifying the Credibility of Scientific Journals in Chemical Engineering.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The workshop was delivered by Prof. Dr. Raghd Farid Qasim on <strong>Monday, March 30, 2026<\/strong>, at the Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Omar Hall within the department.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop aimed to enhance the quality of scientific publishing among researchers and graduate students by introducing major international databases and reputable journals indexed \u0636\u0645\u0646 recognized classifications in the field of Chemical Engineering. It also highlighted the importance of supporting national journals by presenting the <strong>Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals platform<\/strong> and showcasing Iraqi journals indexed globally in Scopus.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop concluded with practical recommendations for researchers, emphasizing the importance of verifying the credibility of international journals before initiating the publication process to avoid predatory or unrecognized journals.
