The College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, hosted the public defense of master\u2019s student
\nNadeem Fahad Kadhim from the Department of Energy Engineering.<\/p>\n

His thesis entitled:
\n\u201cImpact of Climatic Parameters on the Performance of Solar Photovoltaic Modules\u201d
\nwas held on Thursday, 5\/2\/2026, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Imad Talib Hashim.<\/p>\n

The thesis investigated the influence of climatic parameters including solar irradiance, ambient temperature,
\nwind speed, and relative humidity on the performance of a monocrystalline photovoltaic module
\nunder real climatic conditions in Baghdad. The study analyzed performance at three irradiance levels
\n(500, 750, and 1000 W\/m\u00b2).<\/p>\n

The study concluded with several significant findings and proposed the following recommendations:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Implementing advanced cooling strategies to enhance photovoltaic module efficiency in high-temperature environments.<\/li>\n
  2. Conducting long-term investigations to assess the effects of dust accumulation and humidity on operational performance.<\/li>\n
  3. Performing systematic comparisons among different photovoltaic technologies under identical climatic conditions to ensure accurate performance evaluation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    After the scientific discussion and evaluation by the respected defense committee,
