{"id":10353,"date":"2026-02-02T12:23:22","date_gmt":"2026-02-02T09:23:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=10353"},"modified":"2026-02-02T12:23:22","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T09:23:22","slug":"water-resources-engineering-department-organizes-an-awareness-workshop-on-the-impact-of-sports-activities-on-womens-health","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.coeng.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=10353","title":{"rendered":"Water Resources Engineering Department Organizes an Awareness Workshop on the Impact of Sports Activities on Women\u2019s Health"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, <strong>Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed<\/strong>, the Department of Water Resources Engineering at the College of Engineering \u2013 University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized an awareness workshop entitled <strong>\u201cThe Impact of Practicing Various Sports Activities on Women\u2019s Health\u201d<\/strong> on Tuesday, <strong>23 January 2026<\/strong>, at <strong>Dijla Hall<\/strong> in the department.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop was delivered by <strong>Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Mundhir Mohammed<\/strong>, who highlighted the importance of practicing sports activities and their effective role in enhancing women\u2019s physical and psychological health. He explained their impact on preventing many health problems, in addition to improving physical fitness and boosting self-confidence, which positively reflects on quality of life.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop aimed to raise health awareness of the importance of physical activity and its role in supporting women\u2019s health and improving their quality of life within the university community.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop concluded with several recommendations emphasizing the need to promote a culture of sports practice within educational institutions, encourage women to choose sports activities suitable for their abilities and ages, and highlight the importance of integrating health awareness programs into university activities.
